Invertebrate Animals Group Project
Phylum:___________________
As a member of a group, you will be exploring the world of invertebrates. Your group will be responsible for creating a lesson during which you will fascinate your classmates with your knowledge of certain invertebrates. Your group's project will be developed using your text as a resource but will primarily be focused on information obtained through original research. You will be given 4 class periods to prepare and 20 minutes to present your information.
For each topic you are responsible for including the following information.
1. General characteristics that separate this phylum from others.
2. How this phylum is more advanced evolutionarily than other phyla.
3. Examples of organisms in this phyla.
4. How these organisms obtain food & oxygen, reproduce, move and protect themselves.
5. How this phylum relates to the rest of the world - are there any parasites? Does it have economic significance? Medical uses?
The more original information you include, the better your project will be.
You can assume that all of the students in the class have read the text and already have a basic understanding of the material.
